STUDII EUROPENE propune publicului românesc o serie din cele mai interesante lucrări privind construcţia şi integrarea europeană în evoluţia recentă, grupînd trei tematici esenţiale:

a) instituţii (cu temele aferente: deficitul democratic european, reforma instituţională şi noua Constituţie europeană, transformarea statului-naţiune tradiţional sub influenţa cadrului instituţional supranaţional etc.);  
b) actori (rolul regiunilor, grupuri de interese în UE, funcţia partidelor naţionale şi a federaţiilor de partide, ponderea societăţii civile etc.); 
c) politici europene (regionale, agricole etc.). Lucrările aparţinînd unor specialişti recunoscuţi fac posibilă o mai bună înţelegere a principiilor de funcţionare ale UE în statele membre şi candidate. 

  In an era of unprecedented development of the means of communication, of intense economic, social, cultural and political contacts and exchanges, translation plays a leading part. The increasing number of states that are part of the EU, the growing interdependence between countries as well as the common concern with solving together matters of global interest have led to an ever higher demand for translators and interpreters, as well as to the mushrooming of schools, faculties, departments, bureaus and agencies of translation and interpreting all over the world.  

  The purpose of this relatively recent series is to introduce Romanian and foreign readers to current research in the constantly developing discipline of Translation Studies as well as to highlight the contribution that oustanding scholars have made, through the years, to the spectacular advances in this field. It also aims to give some help and support to trainees enrolled on translation and interpreting undergraduate and postgraduate courses by teaching them how to deal with a number of translation problems and showing them how to justify their translation options to potential clients. 

   Les nouveaux événements historiques qui ont marqué le début d'un tumulteux millénaire nous obligent, une fois de plus, à reconsidérer notre position en tant que nations. On a choisi la francophonie, expression éloquente d'une nouvelle dimension interculturelle. Car le français, aujourd'hui, n'est plus seulement l'apanage de la France, mais l'héritage de culture et de civilisation d'une soixantaine de pays essayant de le sauvegarder et de le promouvoir.
   Pour la Roumanie, le français est l'image du prestige et de l'évolution, des esprits visionnaires. C’est pourquoi les collaborations dans le domaine des sciences humaines, dans la sphère française el francophone nous apparaissent comme envisageables et souhaitées. On vous propose une série transversale, ESPACES FRANCOPHONES, sur plusieurs collections déjà existantes. Notre objectif est de mettre en valeur une variété de préoccupations dans plusieurs domaines (linguistique, historie, culture et civilisation, etc.) Académiques, les débats respectent un discours critique, étant en même temps ouverts au grand public.
