This volume contains a selection of articles from epistemology and economics presented during the international conference "The Limits of the Knowledge Society". The conference was organized in Iasi, the 6th-9th of October by the Romanian Academy, Iasi Branch and the "Gheorghe Zane" Institute of Social and Economic Research in the project "The Knowledge Based Society – researches, debates, perspectives" co-financed by the European Union and the Romanian Government from the Social European Fund by the Sectorial Operational Program of Human Resources Development 2007-2013.
"The Knowledge Society" – the goal of the policies of the European Union imposes reflections, analysis and scientific developement, theoretical as well as applied because the social, political, ethical, economic and educational implications of these policies demand continious clarifications.
Considering the large number of articles and the diverse visions of the authours the syncretism is a special trait of this volume but, regarding its internal structure, the content is centered on specific themes of epistemology and economical sciences.
Prezentul volum contine comunicarile stiintifice din domeniile epistemologie si Economie sustinute in cadrul Conferintei Internationale "Limits of the Knowledge Society", organizata la Iasi in perioada 6 - 9 octombrie 2010 de Academia Romana – Filiala Iasi si Institutul de Cercetari Economice si Sociale "Gh. Zane", obiectiv inscris in Proiectul "Societatea bazata pe cunoastere – cercetari, dezbateri, perspective" finantat de Uniunea Europeana si Guvernul Romaniei prin Programul Operational "Dezvoltarea Resurselor Umane 2007 - 2013".
"Societatea Cunoasterii" – tinta si obiectiv de parcurs al politicilor Uniunii Europene impune reflexii, analize si dezvoltari stiintifice, teoretice si aplicative, intrucat implicatiile sociale, politice, etice, economice si educationale ale acestor politici se cer continuu elucidate. Datorita numarului si viziunii autorilor asupra subiectului, sincretismul este o caracteristica a volumului dar, din perspectiva structurii interne, continutul se centreaza pe teme specifice epistemologieie si stiintelor economice.
