The volume includes scientific studies presented at the International Conference "Significance and Interpretation within the Knowledge Based Society" in Baia Mare as part of the "Knowledge Based Society. Research, debates, perspectives" project, POS DRU no. 56815, with a focus on very actual theme: Significance and interpretation. The foundations of current society and future societies are knowledge and action. The relationship between these two fundaments generates viable solutions to the realities of contemporary society. These studies are a solid basis for further exegetical approaches which build ideationally and actionallythe knowledge-based society and are, in themselves, real and original contributions.

Volumul cuprinde studiile stiintifice prezentate la Conferinta internationala "Semnificare si interpretare in societatea bazata pe cunoastere" de la Baia Mare in cadrul Proiectului POSDRU "Societatea bazata pe cunoastere. Cercetari, dezbateri, perspective", avand o tema centrala extrem de actuala: "Identitate si Diversitate in contextul multiculturalismului. Teorii si practici antropologice". Fundamentele societatii actuale si ale societatilor viitorului sunt cunoasterea si actiunea. Legatura dintre cele doua fundamente genereaza gasirea unor solutii viabile la realitatile societatii contemporane. Studiile prezentului volum constituie o baza solida pentru viitoarele demersuri exegetice ce structureaza ideatic si actional societatea bazata pe cunoastere si reprezinta reale si originale contributii.
